One of the GOALS of Austen's Autistic Adventures is to get our "kids" to push some boundaries. Today, even most "NT" (neurotypical) kids are encased in bubble wrap, but OUR kids are packed in foam peanuts AROUND the bubble wrap. It doesn't have to be this way!
This Adventure makes all of us take some chances, but it *is* safe. Here is the description of our upcoming Adventure:
A Go Ape Treetop Adventure is a totally unique outdoor experience. Our courses take you on a 2-3-hour journey of adventure through the forest canopy. You will navigate cool suspended obstacles and zip lines leaving you feeling both accomplished and exhilarated. We start by equipping all guests with their safety gear and equipment, including harnesses, pulleys and carabineers. You will receive a comprehensive 30-minute safety briefing where you are trained on how to use the equipment and course etiquette. Once you have completed the safety brief you are free to enjoy an independent and self-paced adventure in the trees. Instructors are always on hand regularly patrolling the forest if you have any questions or just need some tips on how to conquer an obstacle. All Go Ape Treetop Adventure courses are environmentally designed to integrate carefully with the local topography. This ensures that each Go Ape course offers guests a fresh experience with zip lines and crossings customized to the local environment.
